Fifth day of the Danube Spring School

The fifth day of the Danube spring school was opened by the lecture of Tamara Pavlovic, PhD candidate at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, who works in the anthropological laboratory. She presented the results of archaeological research and exhumation of mass graves from the World War II in the Fiat factory in Kragujevac, where were found 27 skeletons.

The next speaker was doc. dr. Vladimir Mihajlović from the Faculty of Philosophy University of Novi Sad whose lecture was devoted to the analysis of historical sources related to the Danube River and the perception of its role and importance in the past.

After a lunch break, the program was continued by the lecture of prof. dr Milivoj Alanović also from the Faculty of Philosophy University of Novi Sad. His lecture was devoted to some linguistic issue at the territory of former Yugoslavia after its disintegration. He compared different expressions and dialects that are used in this Region.

The second part of the day was spent on presentations of project ideas which our participants conducted working in four groups - East, West, North and South. The focus was mostly on tourism development with the aim to connect cities and countries of Danube Region through intercultural exchange supporting economic and sustainable development.
